The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) has granted the EQUIS accreditation - one of the most recognized accreditations for business schools –to the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. Our Faculty is in a prestigious group of 174 universities in the world that have this accreditation.
EQUIS - European Quality Improvement System – is one of the three most recognized accreditations for business schools and faculties. Its aim is to assess the quality of education of the study programs offered by a given institution and to provide and improve the quality of education in the field of management. The accreditation primarily focuses on the development of entrepreneurial behavior among students and the implementation of didactic innovations. An important element of the assessment is also the internationalization process of the school and its cooperation with external institutions and business organizations in terms of preparing graduates for the needs of the labor market.
The positive outcome of the EQUIS accreditation process confirms the commitment of the Faculty authorities to ensure the highest quality standards (consistent with the adopted vision, the mission and strategy) in research, study programs and cooperation with the corporate world. EQUIS accreditation will undoubtedly contribute to a greater recognition of the Faculty at the international level.
EQUIS accreditation provides a significant benefit for students and alumni of the Faculty of Management as well. Recognition of leading and recognizable organisation such as EFMD confirms that the Faculty of Management offers a world-class education. Just like the best business schools, the Faculty of Management successfully combines a high level of research with a practical approach to business education. Graduates of the Faculty of Management can gain recognition of their qualifications not only in Poland, but also on the international labor market.
The Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw is the first public university and the second school in Poland to which the EQUIS accreditation has been granted. Receiving it enables the Faculty to participate in the most prestigious rankings of business schools, including Financial Times ranking.
The EQUIS accreditation, together with the AMBA accreditation (obtained earlier for the MBA program), brings the Faculty of Management closer to become one of the universities of the so-called "Triple Crown" - three accreditations with global recognition, which is held only by the best business schools in the world.
